Sunday, Sept. 16

The Mt. Moriah Usher Federation will meet Sunday, Sept. 16, beginning at 3 p.m., in the Mt. Moriah District Building at Coffeeville,  “All ushers are urged to attend,” stated Moderator Larry Hervey.


The church family at Camp Ground Baptist Church will have their homecoming service on Sept. 16, beginning at 11 a.m. Bro. Billy Childs will bring the message. There will be a pot luck lunch following the service. There will be no evening service.


The public is invited to Zion Grove M.B. Church for the combined Church Anniversary and Family and Friends Program on Sunday, Sept. 16. Services start with Sunday school at 10 a.m., followed by worship and church anniversary services at 11 a.m. The morning message will be delivered by Pastor Otha Coffey. The Family and Friends Program will begin at 2:30 p.m. and the message will be delivered by Pastor William Jones. 

Dinner will be served following morning worship.


The church family at Chapel Hill M.B. Church invites everyone to come out and worship with them on their Choir Day and Musician’s Appreciation Day on Sunday, Sept. 16,  at 3 p.m. 

“Everyone is cordially invited to join the Chapel  Hill Church family for this special event,” stated Pastor Jerome Battle.

Saturday, Sept. 22

The Missionary Society is requesting churches to support two youth from your congregation in the Little Mr. and Miss Mount Moriah Pageant on Sept. 22, beginning at 5 p.m. The purpose of the program is to help with the building funds of the Mount Moriah Association. The Missionary Department wants to encourage all young children, young adults, and their parents to become more active in the association. 

Choirs are also invited to render a song of their choice. If anyone wants to help plan this program. Call Sister Julia Cox at (662) 473-2823, or Sis. Lizzie Earl at (662) 623-7293. The program committee will meet Saturday, September 15, at 10 a.m. in the Mount Moriah Building. 

Sunday, Sept. 23

Tillatoba Baptist Church will celebrate their 133rd homecoming on Sept. 23. Morning worship will begin at 10:45 with Bro. Danny Spratlin as the speaker. Music will be by Steve and Linda McGregory. A fellowship meal will follow. 

“Everyone is invited to join members of Tillatoba Baptist Church for this special occasion,” reports Pastor Mike Ramage.
